To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Scenic Luxury Cruises
& Tours have added an ocean-faring yacht to their fleet. The Scenic Eclipse
will be able to accommodate 228 passengers with 114 all-veranda suites and six
dining options.
On board, there will be two helicopters, a custom-built
submarine, spacious spa, and indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis.
The ship also has the
highest polar ice class rating, meaning that it can take passengers to the
Arctic and Antarctic.

If ocean cruising never floated your boat, this mega
yacht may just prompt a change of heart.
It's called the Scenic Eclipse, a new
ocean-faring vessel with the very highest of specifications as these pictures
show - that's being launched by Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours to celebrate
the firm's 30th anniversary.
The boat, billed as 'six-star', comes with
helicopters, a custom-built submarine and 114 all-veranda suites.
That means
it's roomy enough for 228 passengers. What's more, it's tough enough to
negotiate the icy conditions of the Arctic and Antarctic.
Launching on 31
August 2018, Scenic Eclipse will embark on her maiden voyage from Istanbul to
Venice before sailing to The Americas, Antarctica, Europe and The
Mediterranean, and the Arctic and Norwegian Fjords.
The mega-yacht also
includes six on board dining options, a spacious spa, indoor and outdoor
Jacuzzis and plunge pools, as well as a gym and separate yoga and Pilates
studio.
Passengers will be able to opt for an all-inclusive deal, which
includes dining in all restaurants, complimentary 'top-shelf' beverages and a
butler service.
Visiting the Antarctic is a privilege usually only given to the
very wealthy, but Scenic hopes that this discovery yacht will make such
adventures accessible to more people.
Arctic and Antarctic cruises will be
limited to 200 passengers to better accommodate each guest and there will be
two on-board helicopters and a custom-built seven-seat submarine to ferry
passengers to various glacier landings.
The ship will feature stabilizer fins
that are 50 per cent larger than standard to provide greater stability and it
will also have the highest passenger ship polar ice class rating.
A Discovery
Team comprised of experts in their field will also be on board to provide
information.
Our goal with Scenic Eclipse was to open up the private Discovery
Yacht experience so that our guests could discover regions previously only
visited by a fortunate few,' said Managing Director of Scenic UK Chris Townson.
In many cases only the supremely wealthy or explorers and adventurers could
have traveled to the Antarctic hinterland or have ventured below the surface
to witness Polar wildlife in their natural habitat but now we are making these
experiences accessible to our guests whilst they travel in the utmost luxury
and safety.
Local tours will also be part of the all-inclusive voyage, and
zodiacs, kayaks, scuba diving and snorkelling equipment will also be on hand
for guests to borrow.
A full brochure detailing all itineraries is set to be
available in February, though adventurous travellers can pre-register their
interest now. The Scenic Eclipse has been in the works for over three years and
the brand hopes to introduce a second ship in 2019.
