UK Nollywood Producers Guild Grand Inauguration Ceremony.

Wednesday 18th 2016 mark a history in the Nollywood industry as the UK Chapter Producers Guild inaugurate its executive members in grand style; the event took place at the House of Parliament UK.


In his opening remarks, Rev. George Hargreaves CEO Kingdom Cinema/Patron Nollywood Producers Guild says that Nollywood film it’s a success but could have been more successful if the organisation unite together and brand themselves well at the international level. He encouraged the producers to strife to produce high quality films and distribute it evenly. 


He also emphasized the need for the producers to report the development of the industry in an appropriate way, working smarter and harder as a team, patronise Nigeria Cinemas to showcase there movie premiere and also stressed the need for the producers and marketers to inculcate the culture of tax return to boast Nigeria economy and embark on charitable works.

The President, UK Nollywood Producers Guild Ruke Amata in his speech recalls how the industry was in the 90s stating that majority of the producers have an idea of what they intend to produce but lack the technical know-how and today they have gone a very long way.



He further stressed that Nollywood films have moved beyond cut and join to a digital level and have become a household name in Africa and beyond.
