Ukraine ceasefire: Vladimir Putin told to back up words with actions by world leaders

Britain and America tonight warned Vladimir Putin he must keep his word after a fragile peace deal was agreed in Ukraine.

Grueling all-night talks ended today with a landmark agreement to halt the bloody 10-month conflict between Russia and its war-torn neighbor
.
But the fighting continued in contested eastern Ukraine with reports Russian artillery was still flooding across the border.

David Cameron made clear he does not trust Putin and said the Russian President will be judged on his actions.

“If this is a genuine ceasefire, then of course that would be welcome,” Mr Cameron said.
But what matters most of all is actions on the ground, rather than words on a piece of paper.
