Kardashian returns to her roots with long hair for trip... as husband Kanye West plants a sweet kiss on their little girl North

Kanye West kept a firm hold of his precious daughter North as he and wife Kim Kardashian arrived at LAX on Tuesday, and he couldn't resist giving her a sweet kiss on the cheek.

Kim, 34, showed off her new hair extensions which transformed her hair from her recent short, platinum coloured tresses, back to a more natural brunette look for the special trip to Armenia.

The family of three, along with other members of the Kardashian clan, are making the journey to mark the 100th anniversary of the mass slaughter of ethnic Armenians in Ottoman Turkey.

 Kim's late father Robert Kardashian was of Armenian-American descent, so the trip to Yerevan will mark an important pilgrimage for the famous family.

A source told us weekly that the entire clan apart from Kendall Jenner will be flying out there this week.

 Other notable people heading to Armenia for the event include George Clooney and wife Amal, as well as Russian president Vladimir Putin.

As the family-of-three made their way through the terminal, Kim displayed her immaculately applied make-up as she wrapped up in a chic cream overcoat.

The mother-of-one also appeared to be wearing a pair of white ripped jeans, casual T-shirt and pointed pumps.

 Kanye, 37, looked focused on the job at hand as he navigated the crowded building in a black jacket with leather sleeves, dark jeans and a pair of his own Yeezy Boosts.

The couple's 22-month-old tot looked ready for a nap and cozied up on Kanye's shoulder as the rapper cradled his little girl and gave her a comforting kiss on the cheek.

Although he's known for his harder edge when up on stage, he completely revealed his softer side as a doting daddy to his sweet daughter.

North herself looked a stylish tot, in jeans and a beige shirt.

Meanwhile, Kim recently revealed she went back to the dark side because the root touch-ups were too much maintenance for the upcoming trip.
