David Beckham honored at UNICEF Ball as he picks up humanitarian award 2016

David Beckham was supported by a bevy of beauties at the 6th Biennial UNICEF Ball in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman and Heidi Klum were among a host of sultry stars dazzling on the red carpet at the lavish Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel, and helping to raise over $2.5 million for the charity's lifesaving programs.

David was being honoured with the charity's Humanitarian Leadership Award during the ceremony, for his work helping children through his Seven Foundation.

The 40-year-old football star looked very handsome as he arrived at the bash, sporting a classic black tuxedo and bow tie; almost stealing the limelight from his glamorous companions.

Sir Elton John, an old friend of the famous British footballer, presented the award to Beckham thanks to the father-of-four's help for the international charity over his expansive career.

Ahead of the evening, he shared a photo to Instagram which showed him posing with a group of young children and said: 'Extremely honoured to receive the @UNICEFUSA’s Humanitarian Leadership Award this evening at the #UNICEFBall.

'I can’t wait to continue doing all I can for Unicef and my 7 Fund, 7.org, to help children across the world.'
Covering up her famous figure: The usually daring Heidi Klum took a more simple approach

Presented by Louis Vuitton, the UNICEF Ball marked the launch of LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF, a global partnership between the humanitarian organization for children and the luxury fashion house to help support children affected by conflict, disease, natural disasters, and other situations that threaten their safety and well-being.

The celebrity guests, which also included Michelle Rodriguez, Miranda Kerr and Heidi Klum, pulled out all the stops when it came to their red carpet looks for the charitable evening.

Several of the stars picked plunging outfits, including Selena, who left little to the imagination in a daring red leather creation that similarly hinted at her slender legs with cutout flowers.

The gown had a ruffled collar and cap sleeves, a zip all the way down the front and unusual cut-out sections down each leg.
Cute couple: Jennifer Connelly, dressed in glittering red, was joined by husband Paul Bettany

Selena also sported gold sandals and matching rings, and left her glossy raven locks loose but let her outfit be the centre of attention by keeping her make-up simple, with nude lips and a touch of smoky eye shadow.

The singer was positively glowing when she took to the stage with a wind machine tousling her tresses to add intensity to her stage performance on Tuesday.

Picking out a similar colour, actress Nicole Kidman stepped out of her comfort zone that night and plumped for a particularly racy plunging neckline and thigh high split.

She wore her hair up to reveal her bare decolletage and as she walked, her dress parted to reveal her sensational pins.
