Katy Perry put her brand new relationship with Orlando Bloom aside on Wednesday night to focus on her political agenda.

The superstar singer hit the stage to support US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at the Hillary Victory Fund 'I'm With Her' benefit concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York, showing off her passion and looking sensational while doing it.

The 31-year-old singer rocked a typically patriotic ensemble for her stint on the stage, flaunting her famously ample cleavage while wowing the crowd.

She channelled her inner Uncle Sam in a pair of shiny wide-legged blue and white striped trousers, teamed wtih a very uplifting red star-printed bra top.

Almost spilling out of the cropped bralet, she further enhanced her tiny waistline and generous chest with a funky waistcoat - in red and white, of course - cinching everything in.

As she danced around with a plethora of dancers in similar stars and stripes attire, she also flashed a hint of her enviably toned torso, showing she hadn't overindulged on her recent romantic trip to Hawaii with her new actor beau.

Her raven tresses were slicked back into a fierce, tight updo and her make-up was simple, a slick of black liner to show off her pretty eyes.

It was a powerful and emotional performance for Katy, who is a staunch Hillary supporter, and she did everything to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

A regular face at political rallies and concerts, Katy looked utterly at home on the stage as she wowed the crowd at the event, which also had former president Bill Clinton and his and Hillary's daughter Chelsea in attendance.

And she looked thrilled as Hillary herself then appeared on stage to take a bow with her at the concert, which also saw the likes of Elton John and Andra Day perform.

Addressing the crowd, the Firework hitmaker explained why she's backing the 68-year-old US Senator in the race to become the president.

'I'm not voting for her because she's a woman,' she said, in-between songs. 'I'm voting for her because she's the right person for the job.

The singer - who performed at the event free of charge - also dedicated her song Unconditional to the political candidate, who won 7 out of 11 states on Tuesday.

I sing this next song for her because I do believe this woman shows unconditional love,' the star said before going into the catchy hit.

Meanwhile, as well as her focus on the political side of things, and her art, Katy was no doubt thinking of her new boyfriend Orlando, 39, who had gone along to be with her on the big night.

The newly-smitten pair had just returned from their first getaway together, and the British Lord Of The Rings star clearly couldn't bear to be apart from his stunning new lady.

The genetically-blessed duo looked smitten with one another as they spent the day hiking with pals at Nā Pali Coast State Park in Kauai last Saturday, before cosying up ahead of a dreamy dinner date the following day in Maui, Hawaii.

Pictures from their vacation showed them getting very touchy-feeling and appearing intimate, showing off their new love and confirming the persistent rumours.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Katy and Orlando - who were first linked after they were spotted getting cosy at a Golden Globes afterparty in January - also took a helicopter ride during their lavish vacation.

The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker - who boasts a $260M fortune - had reportedly played a private show February 24 at the Grand Wailea Resort on Maui.

It's the first known getaway for the flirty duo, who were first spotted canoodling at a Golden Globes afterparty at the Beverly Hilton on January 10.

And while the Roar hitmaker divorced British comedian Russell Brand in 2012, Orlando has a five-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr.
