A 16-year-old boy allegedly shot his family because they
tried to get him up for school.
Police arrested the Nashville teen on Tuesday on suspicion
of shooting his grandmother, sister and nephew over an argument about getting
up and going to school.
‘He made threatening statements before retrieving a handgun
from a closet,’ the police statement said.
He fired multiple shots inside the apartment
It’s believed the boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons,
shot his grandmother with two bullets, while his sister, 12, and six-year-old
nephew suffered graze wounds.
According to Metropolitan Nashville Police Department,
family members were completely unaware he had a firearm.
He was arrested after fleeing the scene and dumping the
weapon, which police later recovered.
He is facing four counts of attempted homicide and another
count of reckless endangerment in a juvenile court.
