Her Worshipful the Mayor London Borough of Enfield, Cllr Patricia Ekechi Exclusive Personality of the week

The Worshipful, Mayor of the London Borough of Enfield Chief Cllr Patricia Ekechi was born in Ihiagwa Owerri, Imo State Nigeria in the late 50s into a family 7 children. She started her career in Nigeria before proceeding into United Kingdom in 1977 for further studies and lived in London borough of Enfield for over 36 years.

She studied at the University of South Bank in London gaining Bsc. Degree in Social Sciences in the 80s, while working as a PA at the Nigerian High Commission in London but resigned after over 10 years.

She then worked with both the London Borough of Camden and Islington respectively before taking early retirement in 2013.

 Her worshipful Mayor entered into politics in 1997 but became very active member of Labour Party in 2010 there she emerged a Ward Councillor in Haselbury ward and re - elected for another 4 years in upper Edmonton ward

She served as a Deputy Mayor in June 2014 to May 2015 and became the Mayor, First Citizen of the borough May 2015. She is blessed with three children, a daughter and twin sons and also blessed with a grandson.

 The Mayor is very proud of her achievements so far and thank God for all the blessings bestowed upon her.
