And it seems Cara Santana and Jesse Metcalfe are going from strength to strength as they enjoyed date night at amfAR's Inspiration Gala at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The stunning actress, 32, turned heads in a super sexy sheer white frock that put her cleavage on display, while also showing off her toned tum.

 Tying her hair back in a ponytail, the model put her stunning face on full show, accentuating her striking features with a touch of make up.

The beauty accessorised with her glistening engagement ring and dazzling earrings, completing her monochrome look with a black manicure and high heels.

Meanwhile, her dashing fiancé looked as dapper as ever in his black tie attire.

The Desperate Housewives hunk, 37, looked as sharp in a slick tuxedo and bow-tie.

The smiling pair looked a picture of happiness as they posed for photos together at the event.

The couple were joined by several stars at the event to raise money for The American Foundation for AIDS Research.

Jesse and Cara got engaged in August after eight years of dating and plan to continue with the relationships slow and steady pace by not marrying until the end of 2018. 

Jesse told Entertainment Tonight: 'We kind of set the date of September 2018. We're locking down a venue right now. It's gonna be on the East Coast, and that's all I can tell you!'

And despite having picked out the venue for their big day, Jesse has revealed that the only other thing he is hoping to have a say on is the music.

I feel strongly about the music and I think we both agree and feel strongly that we just want to create an environment and throw a great party that everyone enjoys.'

Music aside, he disclosed that he lets Cara handle the rest of the planning.

He added: 'She kinda runs everything by me, so if something jumps out at me and I'm like, "No! I definitely don't want that," then I kinda get to put my two cents in. But for the most part, it's her party.
