Return of The Don movie, directed by the Cannes Certified
Multi Award winning Director Malcolm A Benson hits Nigerian Cinemas on Friday
31st March 2017. Distributed by Metro Classic Pictures, Return of The Don will
run at various cinemas including Silverbird Cinemas,Filmhouse Cinemas, Genesis
Deluxe Cinemas Ozone Cinemas, Kada Cinemas, Viva Cinemas, Lighthouse Cinemas
etc. There will be further releases in Ghana, South Africa and other African
countries following the Nigeria opening weekend.
Return of The Don made a historic success at the London BFI
IMAX Cinema First Official Release. The Box Office result revealed that In the
London opening weekend Return of The Don went straight to number 23 in the
overall UK Box Office chart having sold out its entire tickets before the
event. This is a historic and inspiring success for Independent Filmmakers
based in Diaspora especially for Directors and Producers of African Descent in
the highly competitive film industry often dominated by very high budget
Hollywood blockbuster films.
Logline: When Police Commander Tracy Caparro, learnt that an
ex‐mob boss Charlie Reid will soon return to the City, it became clear that
mayhem is about to unfold. With Jack Ackerman the new gang leader already
turning the City into a land of massacre, she must task DC Mills with the
deadly assignment of keeping the two gang leaders at bay and her position
secure.
Return of the Don” guarantees a new height and insight
showcasing the ethnic minority group in charge and in top police ranks in a
police culture often dominated by white men. It also highlights black women
police commander (Monalisa Chinda) in power and in charge of a British police
constabulary. Return of The Don takes the audience on a journey into the youth gun crime and mob culture. It exposes
the secret gangs’ culture and it’s impact on young people being used by the
mafia group for illegal and dangerous
criminal activities often with fatal consequences. The film is packs

Werewolf in London, Ortega and His Enemies) playing DC Chapman, The emerging UK
talent Grace Holley, playing Megan Brooks, Amanda Lara Kay (Lead actress in
Vampire Resurrection) playing Dana Ackerman, Aida Emeliyanova (The Beast of
Bevendean) playing Amber Richardson, Jack Ackerman’s most dangerous serial
killer.
